The first cookbook I was given was by Betty Crocker and featured the book illustrations of Charley Harper, his first commission, depicted in a whimsical style, a familiarity both modernist and simplistic. An instant attraction, a magical resonance like listening a Charlie Parker.
This gave me the idea of designing a collection of jerseys, tees, tank tops, dresses and accessories that blend art with history, mythology, legend and scripture.
The stories are directional and go back to the values and emotions woven into the fabric of our artisan nature, recalling the power of the human touch.
They believe in Karma and destiny, pain and joy, teaching us to live through these processes to understand life and, ultimately, to help us find the path to Enlightenment.
